Although my first graphic design client hired me at the age of 15, I detoured into several other fields before the digital age led me back to this career. Along the way I held jobs in orthodontics, tourism, hospital administration, property management, construction and interior design. Each layer of knowledge and resources added to my skill set, yet once I began formal training in graphic design, my destination was very clear.
A nomadic youth and 15 years of living abroad helped to develop my adaptability and problem-solving skills, along with insights into diverse cultures and visual communication. But enchanting Ashland, Oregon has been home since 1987, when I put down roots in an old Victorian to raise a family.
$60 per hour, with a one-time minimum of 3 hours for new clients. Stock photos are invoiced at actual cost.
I prefer to offer a project fee. This prevents nasty surprises for you and frees me to do the work without clock watching. Should a project change in scope or direction, or require numerous unforeseen revisions and significant extra time, my invoice will reflect additional hours.
Specialties include publication design for municipalities and non-profits, such as newsletters, guides, catalogs, manuals and handbooks.
Expertise in illustration and image editing facilitates projects such as flyers brochures, posters, business cards, web graphics, display ads and product labels.
I also offer logo design, forms, spreadsheets, slide shows/presentations, and VHS tape conversion to digital files.
